Brought together by Bernard Mason (formerly known as the hero Hornet Lad/Hornet Man II and the villain The Hornet), the group has formed to provide a positive environment and outlet for those that don't fit within the confines of "normal" society. Eventually, though, the group traded out enough members and, with the Mason family moving back to Philadelphia, the team was rechristened The Pacific Coast Paranormals.
