Complications: Loyalty - The Pixie Scouts are servants of the Faerie Court and are sworn to protect them, laying down their lives if necessary. On Earth, that means Lady Redraven and Professor Oaken. Names Have Power In Magic - Using a person's full name is evidence of a level of personal knowledge, and knowledge is power. If a mage uses a person's given name in conjunction with a spell, it will have a stronger effect, depending on how intimate that knowledge is. This is why most magic-users keep their identities a closely-guarded secret. If the mage has read the full name somewhere (personal records, internet, etc.), the attack gains a +2 effect. If they have heard the full name spoken, they get a +5. And if they have heard the person speak the name from their own mouth, +10 effect is applied. Truly Secret Identity - Because of their close ties to magic, fairies are given two names at birth: one that is shared with others (often representing something in nature), and one that is their true name, given at birth and only shared with the closest of loved ones. Vulnerability - Pixies have the reputed faerie weakness to iron. Their toughness is not impervious to pure iron weapons and take +2 to the effect. This entails pure iron only, not objects that have been refined, like steel. Background: Downy Skullcap is a pixie/sprite who became infatuated with Baldman, joining him as Alopecia, the Bald Pixie. She was originally a Royal Scout, with a skillset representing this, but she has become a bit stronger and better at fighting in spite of Baldman's training. Her magic has gotten slightly stronger through training as well. Though she is somewhat powerful, she tried to use her powers to aid Baldman rather than herself so as to not show him up. When he had a falling out with the PCP, however, she realized that his stooge antics were dangerous off of his own world. Leaving him there, she returned to San Fransisco and resumed her position as a scout.
