DER TAG

A group of winged, humanoid beings, they bear the appearance that most people picture when the term "angels" is used. They believe that they know the wishes of God and set out to enact His will, but with the flaws that are inherent in not being in His presence. And much like the true angels, they had members of their number who decided that they should be worshiped rather than doing the worshiping. And so, they were cast out; thus introducing the dark, which opposes the light. When the cast out began gaining influence in the mortal realm, the residents of Tag decided to act as protectors of God's creation - mankind - from them. They just don't always know or agree on how this should be done.

Unlike those that were cast out, Der Tag doesn't recruit mortals into their fold, as those that are virtuous, honorable and good deserve the chance to be in The Presence, rather than brought to them. Therefore, their numbers are finite, though what those numbers are is unknown.
