Complications: Responsibility - As a federal officer, she is sworn to uphold the law. Adventurer - Jackie enjoys being around superheroes; helping out where she can and, often times, where she shouldn't. As such, she would occasionally put herself in harms way, even though she didsn't have the power to back the actions up. As a Strikeforce officer, she's a bit closer to having the power now. Faith - Jackie regularly attends the Methodist church that Pastor Kyle Russell used to lead before he was transferred to New Orleans. Relationships - Jackie has fallen for heroes in the past. She became Mr. Cool's sidekick for the thrill of it, and began dating the charismatic Jack of Diamonds when they worked together on The Aces. She has also recently started taking lessons at Carson's Gym from The Hammer to improve her combat skills. As such, she's prone to attaching herself in some way to heroes. She wouldn't, however, do anything to embarass herself. Relationships - Jackie's brother was a permanent resident at Fresh Beginnings Treatment Center before he was murdered. Her cousin River has joined the SLUTs and killed her brother. Another cousin (from a different uncle) is a sleezebag film-maker who has more sexual harassment suits than she has ex-boyfriends. She's not sure when she's going to see people she's related to next: a family reunion or a line-up. Background: Jackie moved to Las Vegas from Pahrump to find and help her older brother, who had developed a drinking problem during his quest to "break the casinos." As such, she had to take a job driving limos to make ends meat and keep her brother in rehab. During that time, she managed to learn a few things about car maintenance, some self-defense moves for drunk passengers who got a little grabby and found she was a pretty good driver. Then she was hired out to drive for Mr. Cool, who saw himself as a local superhero. She found the idea of being a sidekick pretty "cool" and stuck around when he joined up with the Aces. She liked it so much, in fact, that she stuck around even after he was cured and left the team. She made a place for herself and made enough money to send Rob off to a full-time health facility. The sidekick thing was starting to get kind of old, though, after seeing Macarthur Duncan gutted in The Sleeve. Something told her that she wouldn't get up as easily as he did. So she took on the bulk of the monitor duties and let the boys go out and put their lives on the line. And when Drébin came in and offered to move her to New Orleans, she jumped at the chance. It didn't take long for her to find herself in the same spot in New Orleans. When an encounter with criminals face-to-face led to Jackie suffering from a panic attack, she went back to Vegas and got help from China Malone, who helped her face her fears and enter the police academy, eventually joining up with the Nevada Strikeforce. Personality: Jackie is a fun-loving girl, tempered by a strong sense of responsibility. Her brother had always been the one getting in trouble, and she needed to be the one able to get him out of it. Her giving nature also stems from a strong religious faith, but not in a domineering fashion. She enjoys the superhero ideal of helping others, and joined Strikeforce in order to be more of a help than a hinderance. Powers/Tactics: As part of her time as Mr. Cool's sidekick, Jackie ordered a beanbag stun gun and fitted bulletproof vest through the Pierce Manufacturing Company online catalog and learned how to fire the pistol proficiently. This training helped when she eventually entered law enforcement. Appearance: Jackie stands 5'2" tall with a thin (but not skinny) form. While attractive in any other part of the world, her brown hair, hazel eyes and less-than-excessive build made her seem almost plain in the neon lights of Las Vegas (or the silicon-and-sun baked LA). She has a girl-next-door quality that is appreciated practically everywhere else, but there is no way she'd be another notch on anyone's bedpost.
