Complications:
Responsibility - Simon Morris/Peter Morse believes he is alive, with these powers for a reason. He is dedicated to using his powers for good.
Relationships - Peter's closest relationship is with his adopted son, Riley Brown (AKA Lee Morse). Before disappearing, he had a brief romance with Minerva, which eventually led to a iligitimate son, and later still, a grand daughter, along with various other grandchildren, all of whom he hasn't met.

Background: Simon Morris was an electical engineer working for the Federal Penal System. In 1938, he was the engineer at the attempted execution of Bart Matthews. Matthews' peculiar abilities caused an accident with the live electric chair, and Morris, operating the circuit controls, was apparently killed. He awoke several days later, and blasted his way out of his grave with self-generated lightning. He adopted a new name, Peter Morse, and became Lightning Man, the world's first overt parahuman super-hero.

Lightning Man was created and designed by Ken Hallaron. He is an NPC.
