Complications:
Conflicting Natures - Agent Arzhanov is a patriotic, obedient spy. This last point makes her duplicitous and dangerous, but only as much as duty requires. However, when she allows the Shadow Predator loose, she becomes even more dangerous, violent and bloodthirsty.
Monstrous - When the shadow being is unleashed, Zhanna becomes a blacker than black monstrous winged form.
FSB Agent - Zhanna Arzhanov is an agent of Russia's FSB. She is bound by their rules and regulations, beyond whatever leeway they give her.
Weakness - The shadow beast makes Mamuna vulnerable to light-based attacks. They get +5 effect when they strike her.

Background: Zhanna Arzhanov was born a psionic and was recruited as a child into the KGB. After the collapse of the Soviet Union she transitioned into the FSB. She was on an undercover mission to the United States (using the cover name Sharon Archon), when she ran afoul of the parahuman vigilante Pariah. In the ensuing battle she used her Mind Flaying ability on Pariah, causing the biological death of his body. His mind, though, retreated into the UnderDark from which he drew his shadow powers, becoming Umbragon. However, the mind-to-mind contact caused one of the shadow demons native to the UnderDark to escape and merge with her. With no understanding of the UnderDark, and her Russian Orthodox upbringing, she believes the shadow being to be an actual demon, hence her chosen codename of Mamuna.

Mephistophilis was created, designed and played by Sandy Hover. She was reworked into Mamuna by Ken Hallaron and is now an NPC.
