The Liberty Squadron was a superteam that started operating out of Philadelphia nearly two decades ago. They were the third 'modern age' superteam after the Champions of Justice and the Warriors, but before the Crusaders. They only stayed together a handful of years. Hornet Man II became involved with the villainess now know as Firebat, and Hornet Girl had entered a non-consumated flirtation with team leader Megaman. This led to the team fracturing. During their time together, the "Liberty Squadroom" was the then-abandoned Philadelphia Metropolitan Opera House. All of their equipment was removed long ago, and cleared the way for the building's current restoration.
