When the Champions of Justice rejected the United Nation's attempt at control, the U. N. took the opportunity to form their own super group. Gathering members of the super human community from all over the globe, Earthforce was formed to show both global unity and protection for all mankind. Unfortunately, such signs of hope are usually only the things that dreams are made of.
From its very conception, the ideal was underlaid with hopes of power and internal struggles. Each government, trying to push more and more of their citizenry into the organization for more pull within the team, soon made the team too large to be properly managed. The board in charge of assigning cases to Earthforce refused to allow leadership to form within the ranks, leaving the team open to internal strife and disorganization.
After a year and a half of this type of operation, the U. N. Earthforce collapsed under its own political weight. It was not until the organization collapsed, however, that those involved realized that they were trying to fill the role already held by the Champions of Justice.
