After the death of his wife at the hands of a vampire biker gang, the man now known as Helsing rededicated his life and his fortune to the elimination of all supernatural "creatures of the dark." His obsession has driven him to the brink of madness, pushing his body to the limits and his soul into the darkness. Gathering around him a group of devoted hunters with questionable ethics, he has formed a formidable fighting force dedicated to wiping out of existence anything they deem dangerous. No one and nothing is off limits to their hit list, and heaven help anyone who gets in their way. Nothing is more important than the elimination of their prey, including the lives of those they put in danger with their actions.

Upon their confrontation with Project: Titan, Helsing lost half of his recruited soldiers, leading him to question how he would ever complete his end goal of the destruction of all mystic creatures. The answer: hire out. From that point forward, Helsing became more obsessed with the eradication of all mystical creatures, eventually driving Harvester to treachery and Shaft to turn to Damon, Balatar and Wulf for help in hindering his ability to fight.
