Background: Blanche was a street urchin in the back alleys of Paris in the 1930's when she first met the masked man known as l'Epeiste. Finding her homeless and hungry, he did his best to help her, and in return, the young girl kept her ears open and took any information she learned to him. Between her constantly bringing news to him and her nature of being constantly dirty, the swordsman nicknamed her la Pigeon Noire, the black pigeon. Years passed and the world quickly marched toward the second World War and, when it became clear that the Nazi's were on their way to France, l'Epeiste decided to leave Paris. Realizing that a young woman coming into her own like Blanche would be in serious danger with the Germans in charge, he decided to take her with him and relocated to Canada. He remained in Quebec long enough to ensure her safety, introducing her to one of the most influential families in the city. The day after her wedding to Charles Breié, l'Epeiste disappeared from her life forever, but the memory of her patron and his good works in Paris was passed on to her son for inspiration.
la Pigeon Noire was created and designed by Jim Caswell. The character is deceased in the present campaign timeframe.
