Mistaken Identity - During his time on Earth-K, John accidentally stole the identity of his doppelgänger. When he showed up to investigate, Messenger was given a chance to go home and passed his meteorite shard on so that this Earth could have a Messenger of its own.
Falls in Love Easily - Multiversal John Blakes fall in love easily with heroic women. While on Earth-K, he became infatuated with Lt. Bianca Fornier, probably due to her resemblance to Starshine.
Vulnerability - Due to the attributes of the meteorite pendant, gold has an increased effectiveness on Messenger. Gold-coated weapons get +5 to the effect.
