Cephalopod is a hyper-intelligent, super-powered octopus. Born a normal deep water octopus in the Gulf of Mexico, exposure to the other-worldly energies of the Omnisphere mutated the creature to sentience, sapience, and beyond. It also gained tremendous mental powers. Immediately convinced of its own superiority, it quickly became a threat. Stopped by Mass Master and Osprey, Cephalopod was taken into custody by the U.S. government, and taken to a 'black site' for examanation. At some point Cephalopod escaped, and has been quiet since. That is about to change.
