Complications:
What country does he represent? - Because Ibrahim works often abroad in his civilian identity, many people don't realise that Scimitar is an American. He was chosen for UNDI by Sala'aqi apologists.
Responsibility - Ibrahim wants to protect artifacts of the past, including the Armour of Saladinpassed down from his predicessor.
Working for the U.N. - Wanting to help people and working for the U.N. are sometimes often mutually exclusive.
Iocaine Powder? - There are some within the Sqala'aqi government who want Bekoe killed in Sala'aq so they can claim the Armour of Saladin directly.
Motivation: Blackmailed - Ibrahim Bekoe still has family in Sala'aq; part of why he works for the Sala'aqis is to keep them safe.
Relationship - Abdul Bekoe, Ibrahim's cousin, works directly for Sala'aqi Defense Minister Farhad Khalifa.
Prejudice - As an Sala'aqi-American, Ibrahim Bekoe often finds he is unwelcomed both by Americans and Sala'aqis.
