Known Background: Dr. Johann Wasserman, Jay to his friends, is a neurologist specializing in the optic nerve, who, ironically, was losing his vision. In researching ways of repairing his vision, he looked at what reseach from Project: Coffee had become available in the interveneing 75 years, as well as research by Dr. Doyle Conan and others.

In the end, he ended up with a formula very similar to the one Brent Lockwood had developed over twenty years ago, the one that gave Glenn Ferguson his powers. It restored Jay's vision mostly. It also gave him tremendous occular abilities, comparable to those posessed by the Ferguson family, albeit without the same level of control. As Doctor Icon, he uses a pair of goggles of his own design to help him control his powers.

Doctor Icon was created, designed and played by Kyle Kofoid. He is currently an NPC.
