Complications:
Flamboyant - Philippe is very Feminine and over the top, making many who meet him think he is a homosexual. In fact, he loves women, but has no problem in being called metrosexual.
Honor - Phillipe has been convinced to use his skills for the good of mankind.
Pacifist - Philippe abhors violence. His battle cry is “Run Away!”
Well Known - Tudor Watches are well-known around the world, for both their craftsmanship and usefulness. On the open market, one of his watches can easily fetch five figures.

Known Background: Philippe is a Swiss watchmaker and the world’s foremost expert in clockwork mechanisms, which include clocks and watches, kitchen timers, music boxes, and wind-up toys. Further creation of advanced mechanical motor, to create automata, mechanical calculators, analytical engines, astronomical models, clockwork radio, electric generators. It would also be possible to create working versions of famously fraudulent “The Turk”, or of the 1776 Turtle submarine or 1806 Nautilus Submarine.

Although his primary occupation is watchmaker, he came to the notice of the Stewart Institute because of his expert knowledge of historically mechanical booby traps. He is able to locate and disarm a large variety of traps designed before modern electronics.

He is fluent (reading and speaking) in several languages without accent: German, French, Italian, Spanish, Romansh, Greek and English. Conversational in Russian, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hunanese, Japanese, Korean, and Hindi. He can passably speak in somewhat broken language: Bengalis, Punjabi, Marath, Portuguese, Arabic, Farsi, Turkish and Hebrew. He is quick at picking additional languages. He can translate Aramaic, Sumerian, and Coptic.

Philippe abhors violence and is a strict pacifist. His battle cry “Run Away!” He has some stealth, but it’s used almost exclusively for hiding. He has no offensive hand-to-hand or ranged weapon experience. He is willing to use his clockwork mechanisms in a purely defensive action. Anything to restrict combat movement, restrict attackers sight and/or hearing, anything to shield his colleagues, etc… Good personal luck and/or bad luck upon enemies.

Clockwork was created, designed and played by Doug Zeitlin.
