BIRDMEN

On several parallel Earths, the criminal scientist known as the Birdman was the first person to pierce the veil into the limbo between the Earths. This event was essentially simultanious across these worlds. These Birdmen quickly realised they were counterparts to one another. And forty of them then banded together into an inter-dimensional criminal air force.
