OASIS COMMUNITY CENTER

Created by Andy Fox
Location: Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, Minneapolis & St. Paul, MN

The Oasis Community Center's first location is located on the lower east side of Chicago, in the neighborhood in which Carl Johnston was born and raised. In the years since he moved away and became Thunder, the once relatively-safe neighborhood bacame violent and drug-infested. Upon leaving Houston to return home, Thunder dedicated himself to cleaning up his home and making it safe for the children. After taking back the streets, he set out to build and run a community center for the kids to go and be safe. He has been assisted through monitary donations made by Lexington Incorporated. With the success of the first center in Chicago, Carl expanded the business to three other locations: Houston, Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN.

Oasis is a two floor building with a basement, in which is located janitorial equipment, plumbing, electrical junctions, furnace and leftover supplies. On the second floor, two fire escapes lead down to the first floor and are located on the south side of the building.
